She is passionate about mentoring emerging communicators and helping advance more inclusive representation across healthcare and media spaces.
She is currently pursuing an Advanced Certificate in AI for Business Strategy at Baruch College and plans to pursue a master’s degree in Corporate Communications as part of her long-term goal of bridging innovation, strategy, and human-centered communications.
The American Dream
Rooted in culture, community, and storytelling
Born in the Andes Mountains of Peru, Paula immigrated to the United States at a young age and grew up balancing multiple cultures, languages, and identities. As a proud Latina and fully bilingual Spanish speaker, her lived experiences deeply shaped both her worldview and her passion for communications.
Growing up in immigrant communities helped her recognize the importance of culturally relevant storytelling, accessible health information, and authentic representation in media spaces. Those experiences continue to inspire her commitment to patient advocacy, multicultural communications, and creating work that feels both strategic and deeply human.
At her core, Paula has always been a writer and storyteller...someone drawn to understanding people, emotions, and the narratives that connect communities together. That passion ultimately led her to healthcare communications, where she found purpose in helping amplify patient voices and communicate stories that can genuinely impact lives.

Outside of Work
Music, fitness, and creativity beyond the workplace
Outside of work, Paula is deeply passionate about music, creativity, and wellness. She has played the violin for more than 20 years and began studying at a music conservatory at the age of eight. In addition to violin, she enjoys singing and has a strong love for R&B and rock music. She’s also a huge Beatles fan and can happily spend hours talking about their music, cultural impact, and influence on generations of artists.
She’s also an avid fitness enthusiast and spends much of her free time weightlifting and staying active. Whether she’s at the gym, practicing music, or exploring creative projects, Paula values discipline, self-expression, and lifelong growth both personally and professionally.
